We already knew didn't we?

When Victoria and Georgia came down for "Take your Daughter to work day" this year, (as GG used to call it "Daughter, Daughter work day") we went over to the Kansas City Public Library downtown just for something to do. They were in the process of creating a whole new children's section and to publicize it they were having an art contest. Kids could create their own bookmark and submit it. If it was chosen it would be turned into an actual bookmark and distributed through all the branches. Tori was very excited and took home her entry form to complete. She dove right in and completed it quickly and within the next few days I ran over during lunch and submitted it. As I was walking out after handing it to the librarian in the beautiful new children's section she commented "Wow! This one looks like a winner!" I thought it was sweet that she probably said that to all the entries she accepted.

A month or so later a thick letter from the library arrived for Victoria. My first guess was "another late fee" but then I quickly remembered the contest and was pretty sure what she was getting ready to open. Well, I guess the librarian was psychic because the judges of the contest also thought she did a great job and awarded her the bookmark for the Central Branch!

But you already knew she had a knack for this thing. Didn't we? ;-)
