Alexander, The Great Working Wonders
I was looking around to see what the internet was saying about Mark this spring and I ran across this flattering article that was posted last July. Be sure and link to any articles you may see out there!

Why wasn't reliever Mark Alexander, who has 50 saves the past two seasons at Class A Vero Beach, Double-A Jacksonville and Triple-A Las Vegas, not invited to Major League training camp?
-- Mike D., Union, N.J.
Being a short right-hander, the 5-11 Alexander has been swimming upstream his entire career and -- even though he was named the organization's Minor League pitcher of the year in 2006 -- still gets no respect. He gets outs with control and finesse, but if you don't light up the radar gun it's hard to get the attention of scouts and management. Not being invited to camp doesn't mean he won't get a look in Major League exhibition games. Steve Schmoll made the Opening Day roster in 2005 and wasn't invited to Major League camp.
